Cookie Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This policy explains how Retiris Finance (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage and pixels, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences, and let advertising partners measure and serve ads. Similar technologies — browser local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy.
2. Cookies used on this site
| Category | Set by | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Retiris Finance | Keep the site secure and working (page routing, load balancing, abuse prevention). | Session |
| Preference | Retiris Finance | Remember choices you make in the calculators, such as your selected currency. | Stored in your browser until you clear it |
| Advertising | Google AdSense / Google Ad Manager | Serve ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. May be personalised depending on your consent and location. | Up to 24 months |
| Analytics | Aggregate, non-identifying measurement of page views and traffic sources so we know which guides to update. | Up to 24 months |
The figures you type into our calculators are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers or shared with advertisers.
3. Third-party advertising cookies
We use Google AdSense to fund the Site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com (EU/UK).
- Google's own practices are described in the Google privacy & terms pages.
4. Consent
Where required by law — including in the UK and the European Economic Area — advertising and analytics cookies are only set after you give consent through the consent message displayed by our advertising partner (Google's certified CMP). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the privacy/consent control shown by that message, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the Site cannot function without them.
5. How to control cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings menu — usually under “Privacy and security”. You can also browse in a private/incognito window, which clears cookies when the window closes. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of the Site, such as remembering your chosen currency, from working as intended.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our advertising partners, tools or legal obligations change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
