About Retiris Finance
Retiris Finance is a free, independent retirement planning resource. We build simple calculators and plain-English guides so anyone can get a clear picture of what their retirement could look like — in minutes, with no sign-up.
What we do
Our tools project your retirement savings using standard financial maths: monthly compounding, monthly contributions, an inflation-adjusted view of your future balance, and the widely used 4% safe-withdrawal rule for estimating retirement income. Everything runs in your browser — your numbers are never sent to a server.
Who it's for
Anyone trying to answer the question "am I on track?" without wading through jargon. We cover both UK pensions/ISAs and US 401(k)/IRA/Social Security rules in our guides.
How we fund the site
Retiris Finance is supported by display advertising. Ads help keep the calculators free and the guides open to everyone. We do not sell user data, and we have no paid recommendations in our editorial content.
Editorial approach
Our guides are written in plain English, reviewed for accuracy against publicly available rules (HMRC, IRS, SSA, FCA, ATO and CRA), and updated as legislation changes. We avoid recommending specific products and focus on explaining the principles so you can make informed decisions.
How our content is produced
- Original writing. Every guide and calculator on Retiris Finance is written in-house. We do not republish syndicated articles or auto-generated filler.
- Primary sources only. Allowances, contribution limits, pension ages and benefit rates are taken from the relevant government or regulator publication, not from other blogs.
- Worked examples in local currency. UK guides use £, US guides use $, Australian guides use A$ and Canadian guides use C$, with the assumptions behind every figure spelled out.
- Regular review. Country guides are re-checked when tax years change or new legislation is announced, and each page carries the rules that applied at the time of the last review.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong we fix it and note what changed. Tell us at retirisfinance@gmail.com.
Advertising and independence
